Product Description
Blade - with Sheepfoot profile ended with a blunt oval tip, which protects the rescued person from injuries. Made of well holding sharpness, easy to sharpen 8Cr13MoV stainless steel (equivalent to Japanese AUS-8 steel). The blade has a Hollow Grind for effective and safe cuts with considerable force. The notched back of the head, the ramp sets the thumb and gives solid support, and the curved undercut under the index finger between the handle and the cutting edge (finger choil jimping) makes it easier to operate the folder. Comet-shaped cut-out (Spyderco patent) for quick opening of the wedge. Back-Lock head lock with additional protection against accidental release of the lock (notch in lock).
Spyder Edge - (Spyderco patent) new toothed Spyder blade with improved edge geometry, alternating between one large and two small two-step teeth. This pattern increases the length of the cutting edge by up to 24% compared to a straight blade. Ideal for cutting hard materials, plastics and fibrous materials such as ropes, belts, etc.
Skeleton - reinforced with stainless steel plates to which the lining is attached, ensures the strength of the structure. Phosphor bronze pads ensure trouble-free, smooth opening and closing of the knife.
Handle - non-slip Bi-Directional Texturing reinforces the grip even with wet hands. Made of FRN (Fiberglass Reinforced Nylon), glass fibre reinforced nylon. Sturdy metal clip with four-fold fixing (up/down, right/left) 4-way clip positions. Spine Jimping notch on the back of the handle increases comfort and grip security. The hole (lanyard hole) allows for the attachment of a safety line.
